
Punjabi Yakhni Pulao Summary
This Amazing dish demands mutton or chicken. As people of Punjab love to eat rice in lunch or dinner, so I deliver a super quick and easy-pizzy method of cooking this appetizing food at home and serve to your family members.
INGREDIENTS
- 750grams Meat
- 1 Kg Rice
- 2 Cinnamon
- 2 Big Cardamom
- 2-3 Bay leaf
- 5 Cloves
- 4-5 Onions
- 7 Green chilies
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 tsp crushed red chilies
- 2 tbsp Ginger crushed
- 1&5 tbsp Garlic crushed
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 3 tbsp Garam masala
- Salt (depend on your taste)
How to cook
First, wash out Rice of nearly 20 minutes, Take a medium-sized skillet to add the mutton, cinnamon, big cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, chopped onions, crushed red chilies, cumin, salt, black pepper, garam masala and 8 glasses of water. Cook on low flame.
In a separate pan heat oil and fry the chopped onion until they turn brown. Then add the mutton stock alongside the meat. Whip the yogurt and pour it into the meat.
When the mixture starts to boil add the rice and whole green chilies. When the water dries, cover and simmer the rice for 5-7 minutes. Yor special Yakhni Pulao is ready and serves it with cold drinks.
